Najmeh used some examples in her answers and could speak in the present simple tense well. She used a range of time expressions and adverbs of frequency and spoke in full sentences. She need to include sequencers and be careful with her verbs as she missed out a couple of main verbs such as ‘I usually formal clothes for work’. Also, she used the verb to ‘be’ in some present simple sentences and should work on her listening slightly as she misheard a question on why people exercised and this resulted in her giving an inappropriate response.

Najmeh Jahangirbanan

Najmeh was able to use a range of vocabulary throughout like ‘junky food’ and ‘hang out’ which were applicable to each of her questions. She gave a lot of detail in her answers and used sequencers to talk about her typical morning. Although she attempted to use some more advanced structures like conditionals, she missed out ‘will’  and missed out ‘to’  with certain modal verbs as she said, ‘I have wear a uniform’.

Hosein Rezaee

Hosein gave a very detailed introduction and used suitable vocabulary like ‘salty food’. He seemed to understand most of his questions, though some had to be repeated once or twice and he could form simple sentences. He needs to work on expanding his answers more as many of them fell too short and he used prepositions incorrectly such as ‘I avoid at junk food’. Also, he misheard his final question and this resulted in an incorrect answer so he should focus on his listening a bit more.

Sahar Simakani

Sahar had good pronunciation and was able to speak in the present simple well. She used sequencers and demonstrated good comprehension of most questions. However, she should work on her listening skills a bit more as when asked about why people exercised, she listed ways people can exercise instead. Also, she should try to expand some of her answers as she had to be asked why a few times to gain additional information.

Elahe Nikookaran

Elahe gave detailed answers throughout and had excellent pronunciation. She used a wide range of vocabulary like ‘take a nap’ and did not struggle with any of her questions. She made a couple of errors with singular and plural verbs such as ‘woman have to…’ and missed out a main verbs with certain modal verbs so she should be careful of these.

Aliakbar Shole

Aliakbar used a variety of adverbs and spoke at a steady pace. He could form simple sentences, although he was not able to develop any of them further which may be due to a lack of appropriate vocabulary. Also, he needs to work on his comprehension as some questions resulted in a different answer. For example, when he was asked about why people exercise, he answered about what kind of exercise he did as he said, ‘I’m playing tennis’.

Mohammadreza Hoseini

Mohammadreza used suitable vocabulary like ‘calcium’ and could speak in simple present simple sentences. He had good listening and comprehension skills. However, he needs to expand his answers and they were not long enough and he missed an ‘s’ off third person verbs. Furthermore, he made several errors with pronunciation as he pronounced ‘exciting’ as ‘exziting’.

Negar Omidvar

Negar gave a detailed introduction and this continued with her answers. She used a wide range of vocabulary like ‘hang out’ and could speak in both the present and past simple tense easily. She missed out ‘to’ in a few of her sentences like ‘I like do exciting things’. Also,  she should try to use more modal verbs or conditional structures more.

Darya Moayedi

Darya used time expressions and sequencers appropriately and was able to use examples to support her answers. Furthermore, she used a range of modal verbs like ‘should’. She had a couple of errors with word form because she said, ‘They wear modesty clothes’, also, she confused a couple of conjunctions as she used ‘and’ when contrasting two things.

Masoome Moayedi

Masoome could speak in the present simple tense well and used modal verbs to refer to possible problems. Also, she had good pronunciation skills and spoke clearly and at a good pace. She needs to expand her answers though as a few fell slightly short. Furthermore, she needed to use sequencers when talking about her typical morning.

Sobhan Rohani

Sobhan was able to use frequency adverbs well developed his answer with examples. He used appropriate vocabulary like ‘junk food’ and spoke in full sentences. Having said this, he made a couple of errors with word form as he said, ‘it’s relax and easy’; and missed out auxiliary verbs in some of his sentences.

Mojtaba was able to use a range of structures in his answers like ‘would like to’ and used various frequency adverbs. He could speak in the present simple tense well and used sequencers accurately. He made a couple of pronunciation errors and missed out a couple of prepositions in his sentences. Also, he would benefit from using a wider range of modal verbs instead of maybe.

Moosa Goodarzi

Moosa           gave a good introduction and used suitable vocabulary. Furthermore, he demonstrated very good listening and comprehension skills. He should try to expand further as some of his answers were too short. Furthermore, he mispronounced ‘thirty’ and used an auxiliary verb incorrectly once or twice such as ‘I’m usually eat vegetables every day’.

Javad Dehghani

Javad spoke in the present simple tense well and used frequency adverbs correctly. He spoke in full sentences and demonstrated a wide range of vocabulary. He mispronounced a couple of words like ‘avoid’ so he should be careful with his ‘v’s. Also, he would benefit from speaking quicker and expanding more of his answers with examples.

Yusef Banaian

Yusef could speak in simple present tense sentences. He used a range of adjectives like ‘comfortable and suitable’ and could comprehend his questions easily. Having said this, he tended to use the same frequency adverb ‘always’ in each of his sentences like ‘I always avoid junk food’ ‘I always go walking in the morning’.
